Quick answer: A custom itinerary costs $79 for a trip of up to 3 days, $149 for 4 to 7 days and $249 for 8 to 14 days. We email you a quote first; you pay the invoice before we start planning, and we send the itinerary once it’s paid. The price covers planning only, and all sales are final.
What do the three prices include?
| Trip length | Price | Typical trip |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 3 days | $79 | A city break or a long weekend |
| 4 to 7 days | $149 | A week in one region, or a trip with two bases |
| 8 to 14 days | $249 | A longer trip with day trips or several stops |
Every tier gets the same kind of plan: a schedule for each day, where to stay, where to eat, how to get around, what to book ahead and notes for the season. A longer trip simply has more days to plan. Prices are in US dollars.
Are there any other fees?
No. The price we confirm in our email reply is the amount on your invoice. There’s no booking fee, because we don’t book anything, and no subscription.
The price doesn’t include travel itself. Flights, accommodation, transport, tickets, tours, meals and insurance are paid by you, directly to the companies you choose. We never collect money on their behalf.
What is the refund policy?
All sales are final. We don’t offer refunds, including if your plans change or the trip is cancelled. Itinerary planning is custom work, and it starts as soon as your invoice is paid.
That’s why we confirm everything before you pay. Our reply sets out the destination, trip length, price and delivery date, and the invoice follows only once you’ve agreed to it. The full terms are in our terms of service.
How does payment work?
It goes in this order: you send your request, we email you a quote, you pay the invoice, and then we plan your trip and send the itinerary. 45Squared LLC, which runs VanSledright Travel, sends the invoice with a secure online payment link after you’ve agreed to the quote. Payment is due in full before planning begins, and your itinerary is emailed to you once it’s paid, by the date in the quote.
We never ask for card numbers by email. If you’d like to see the kind of plan you’ll get before you order, read one of our sample itineraries.

Common questions
When do I pay, and when do I get my itinerary?
You pay after you’ve seen and agreed to our emailed quote, and before we start planning. Once the invoice is paid, we plan your trip and email you the itinerary by the date in the quote. We don’t start an itinerary, or send one, before payment. If the quote doesn’t suit you, leave the invoice unpaid and nothing is charged.
Why don't you offer refunds?
Each itinerary is planned from scratch for one trip, and the work starts as soon as you pay, so it can’t be resold or reused. Instead of refunds, we settle everything up front. Our email reply confirms your destination, trip length, price and delivery date before you’re invoiced, and you only pay once you’ve agreed to all of it.
Does a more expensive destination cost more to plan?
No. The price depends only on the number of days in the trip. Three days in Chicago and three days in Tokyo are both $79. What you spend on flights, rooms and meals is separate, goes directly to the providers you book with, and is shaped by the daily budget you give us in the request form.
What if my trip is longer than 14 days?
Tell us in the request form. Trips over 14 days are quoted individually, because a month in one city and a month across five countries are very different amounts of work. We include the quote in our email reply, and as with every order, you don’t pay anything until you’ve agreed to it.
